Anita Marie Berig, age 72, of Greeley, Colorado passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. She was born on December 4, 1952 in Grundy Center, Iowa to Andreas and Helene (Kovar) Martin. The family moved to Colorado when Anita was 6 months old, and she graduated from Windsor High School in May 1970.
Anita married Roger Lee Berig on December 5, 1970, and together they raised two children; Ricky Alan Berig and Tina Marie Berig. She worked at Hewlett Packard for 27 years.
Anita leaves behind her husband of 54 years, Roger Berig; daughter, Tina Berig; siblings, Ferdinand Martin, Bert and Pegi Martin, and Sig Martin.
She was preceded in death by her son, Ricky Alan Berig; her parents; siblings, Erma Benikosky, Emilie Margheim, Daniel Martin, and Chris Martin.
A visitation for Anita will be held Friday, January 10, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 W. 28th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80634. A graveside service will be Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 3400 W. 28th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80634.
