Andrew Andy Myers

Andrew Verne “Andy” Myers was born on April 23, 1918 in Olney Springs, CO to Edmund Vance and Leah Ethel (Pierce) Myers. He was one of seven children. Andy met Lettie Edwina Latta and later married on July 5, 1940 in Dolores, CO.

Andy enlisted in the United States Navy in October 1942. In 1943, he was sent to North Africa. Andy was discharged in 1945 and he and Edwina moved to Alamosa, CO. Together they had two daughters, Karen (Nick) Hobbs and Kathie (Edgar) Hamm. Andy had 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Andy and Edwina were baptized in 1973 in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Andy married Lois McBride in 2012.

Andy is survived by his wife, Lois; daughter Karen, son-in-law Ed Hamm, 2 sisters, and his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, first wife Edwina, 4 brothers and his daughter, Kathie.
