She was born on February 14, 1989 to Jeanette Ochs and Juan Felix in California. Shortly after Alex was born her family moved to Greeley, Colorado where she spent most of her childhood. She attended Greeley Central High School where she finished her high school education.
Alex worked for a short time with the State of New Mexico, but later found her passion in the cannabis industry. She had been a budtender since 2018, as soon as the industry started in Colorado. Alex was eventually promoted to Assistant Manager due to her hard work and how much she loved working with people.
The time she spent in the cannabis industry was just a small part of who Alex was. She also found joy in doing hair and makeup, graphic design, listening to all genres of music, and reading romance books. Anywhere Alex went she made friends and people would gravitate towards her energy and contagious laugh. Alex had the biggest and brightest smile in the room wherever she went. She was comfortable in her style and she could make anything look good. Alex was always described as eccentric and rebellious.
She is survived by her three daughters, Aubrionne, Santana, and Penelope; her mother, Jeanette (Ricky) Ochs; her father, Juan (Rita) Felix; her brothers, Adrian, Roman, and Camden; her step-brothers, Josiah, Eli, Triston, and Jaden; and her step-sister, Brittany.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Roman; her grandmothers, Madeline and Ursula; and her uncle Maurice.
A Celebration of Life for Alex will be held Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 West 28th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80634 with a reception to follow.
