He was born on September 21, 1923 in Buena Vista, TN to the late John and Margaret Cooper. Robert, “Bob” graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor’s degree in Business. Bob spent his career as a Sales Representative for commercial building products and was always viewed as trusted, reliable and honest by his co-workers and clients. Bob Cooper loved Jesus Christ and attended Royal Haven Baptist Church for over 50 years, where he sang in the Choir, served as a Deacon and was a Sunday School Teacher.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years Frankie Cooper; daughter Tracy Cooper; grandchildren Henley Harrell, Trevor Martin, Blake and Hayden Cooper; great grandchildren Bailey and Seth Cooper and Cooper and Stella Harrell.
He was preceded in death by his sons Robert and Rodney Cooper as well as his 6 brothers and sisters, Johnnie Cooper, Milburn Cooper, Gertrude Peebles, Ina Mae Park, Gillon Cooper, J.G. Cooper, Jr..
