Necie Woodard, of Irving, Texas, passed away on July 3, 2024 in Irving. She will always be remembered as a loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister and friend to everyone she crossed paths with. She was born on September 9, 1939 in Lubbock, Texas.
Necie was a graduate of Ralls High School where she met the love of her life, Bobby Woodard. They married June 28, 1957 and settled in Lubbock, TX. She received a business degree and began her career in the insurance industry. She went to work for Shropshire Insurance Agency. They purchased an insurance agency in Lorenzo, TX in 1965 until 1968. Bobby accepted a position at General Electric in Dallas. They made their home in Irving, Texas where they raised their family along with the Durham Street kids.
Ceecee dedicated her whole life to her family. She opened her home to everyone. She was a Mom to all. She enjoyed vacations in New Mexico and Colorado with family. She spent every possible moment at their home at Graham Lake.
She loved fishing, gardening and anything and everything with her kids and grandchildren. She made lifelong friends with the Celtic soccer family. She never missed any event whether sports or school that her kids or grandchildren were in.
Necie is preceded in death by her husband Bobby, her parents RV and Juanita Pratt, her brother Vernon (Uncle Butch) and son in law Bob Rouse.
She is survived by her daughter, Denise Rouse, sons, Rick Woodard and his wife Kristin and Rob Woodard and his wife Stacy. Grandchildren Aaron Lancaster and his wife Jennifer, Hailey Cramer and her husband Clayton Cramer, Ben Woodard and Cayden Woodard, Mike Woodard, Sandy Wallace and her husband Ronnie, Coyt and Phoebe Webb along with numerous nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be held from 12 noon – 1 o’clock p.m. on Monday, July 8th at J.E. Foust and Son Funeral Home in Grapevine. The Funeral Service will follow. She will be entombed with the love of her life that she spent 67 years with at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum in Colleyville.
