Two years, my precious friend has been in a better place, but I still miss her so. I especially miss her phone calls that often lasted a long time as we discussed some Bible passage. She made such a difference in my life, and I am a better person for her friendship.

I’ve known Marie since early 1980s as she was my best friend’s sweet mother. I never saw her be anything but sweet and welcoming to me and my daughter. She treated us like her own. I admired her intelligence, her independence and how she loved her husband and family. The world is a little less interesting today but i know i will see her again when it is my turn to fly away. Rest peacefully dear Marie. I’ll keep an eye on Mary for you!

Miss Saunders was a very dear person to me I took care of her from benevolent heart home health. And it was a pleasure and honor to take care of her she was such a wonderful spirited person I love her and she will be dearly missed. 🌺🌺

I had the pleasure  of knowing Ms. Saunders just a short time, but in that time, I knew what a wonderful woman she was.  She loved her family so much and would talk about them often.   She cherished her little Maggie.   I loved to sit with Ms. Saunders and hear all her stories of growing up in Wellington, TX.  She was a dear sweet woman of God and will be greatly missed.   

To the family of Marie I would like to thank you  for allowing me to a part of Marie's life for almost 4 years.  She was a dear friend and I enjoyed waking up because I knew I was going to see her and Maggie.  I will always cherish the timei spent with her. My prayers and condolences go out to you. Barbara 

My dear friend,  Marie, lived life to the fullest; every moment was precious. I was so fortunate to spend many hours with her, often in lively discussions and debates. She loved her husband Bill and all of her children and grands to the zenith. Shopping with her was always much fun; I could count on her to buy a pair of shoes, and we never went home without her buying something red.
Marie loved to study the Bible, and some of our very best times came as I was preparing to teach a Bible class. I could count on her to make me think more deeply. Major and I loved her deeply, and I so regret that COVID makes it impossible to attend her celebration; however, I am grateful that my daughter Stephanie will be present. To all of the family, I send my love and assurance of prayers. She will be missed.


Ms. Saunders was an amazing woman. I had the pleasure of knowing her for 3 years.  I loved spending time with her when I had an opportunity, which was about once a week. I will never forget her kindness. I will miss her dearly.
