Dedicated husband, loving Father, Grandfather, Great Grand Father, Uncle and Friend to countless many, entered into Glory August 2, 2022 at the age of 87.
Charlie, or sometimes called “Sonny”, was born May 8, 1935 to Raymond and Nora Wylie of Corsicana Texas. Charlie was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Carrie Jane Wylie and his sister Delores Mitchell.
Charlie is survived by his three sons and daughter-in-laws; Mark and Jeril Wylie of Keller, TX, Richard and Shawn Wylie of Rockwall, TX, and Jeff and Andi Wylie of Keller, TX. Grandchildren; Zachary Wylie, Valarie and Ray Ramirez, Mariah and Bryan Patrick. Great Grandchildren; Rylie and Kynslie Ramirez, Sadie and Presley Patrick, Austen and Carsen Patrick. As well, Charlie is survived by his sister, Betty Wilson of Corsicana, TX who celebrated her 90th birthday this year.
Charlie was well known for his happy welcoming spirit and disposition which he displayed towards family and friends, as well as his love for outdoors, in particular Crappie fishing, deer hunting and Dallas Cowboys Football. He could cook fish and chicken fried backstrap to die for and enjoyed every minute of it.
Charlie’s work career is contained in one book. Forty-Four years with Lone Star Gas. For years in Grapevine and the surrounding area he was known simply as “The Gas Man”.
Charlie always was happy to see visitors and neighbors come knock on his door. Chances are he had on a big grin waving you to come in. Often you would be greeted with a familiar “How you doing” and a big smile.
The family was blessed by his life, and he will certainly live on in our hearts and minds forever. God rest your soul, Charlie!

Funeral: Monday, August 8, 2022 at 10:00 AM, JE Foust and Son. Graveside: Monday, August 8, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Prairie Point Cemetery, (near Kerens) Bazette, TX.
