Marlene V. Daniels, age 77, passed away on February, 27, 2021. She was born in Endicott, NY on July 12, 1943 to Gladys and Walter Vicinus and had one older sister, Carolyn, who preceded her in death. Her husband, Vernon Daniels, also preceded her in death. Survivors include her step-daughter, Leslie Daniels, and granddaughter, Vera Daniels.
Marlene had a long career working for the Central Intelligence Agency as an Executive Assistant, starting there in the early days before their headquarters was built. She and Vernon left for Grants Pass in 1988 to join other Daniels family members already living here. She then completed her government service with the Interior Department.
Marlene was a very active volunteer until COVID hit, working at the Library, the Chamber of Commerce, and the Literary Council - all here in Grants Pass. She loved interacting with people and really missed it when all volunteer work stopped.
Marlene will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery, joining her husband, Vernon, who was a veteran of WWII and Korea and a US Army retiree.
If you would like to make a donation in her memory, please donate to the Grants Pass Library or Literacy Council.
