Yvonne A. Qualls, age 88, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, January 15, 2023. Yvonne was born April 19, 1934 in Battle Creek. She married John Qualls in 1953. Desiring to be active members in a local church, together they came into membership at Berean Baptist Church on Easter Sunday 1958.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, John; parents Ethel and W.C. Carpenter; father, Ivon Billington (1934); sister, Shirley Billington. Yvonne will be deeply missed by her daughters Debbie Macy, Janis Qualls, Lori Qualls, and Pamela Maloley; grandchildren Karen Macy, Kevin Macy, David (Madeline) Maloley, and Bonnie Qualls; and great-grandchildren Olivia and Carson Maloley.
Relatives and friends may meet Yvonne’s family from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Berean Baptist Church, 1574 Coit Ave. NE, Grand Rapids. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, January 20, 2023 with one hour of visitation prior at church. Interment will be at Fairplains Cemetery. In lieu of flowers and in honor of Yvonne, contributions may be made to Berean Baptist Church Missionary Memorial Fund or Rest Haven Homes.
