William Anthony Sherman, age 24, passed into the loving arms of his Lord, from the loving arms of his grandmother Carolyn and caregiver Julie on Tuesday, November 17, 2020. He was welcomed into Heaven by his dear brother Carson. He will be remembered by his parents Angela (Dennis) Gort, Mark Sherman; sister, Violet; maternal grandparents Carolyn and Carson Neifert, with whom he lived; paternal grandparents Ronald and Darlene Sherman; many aunts and uncles, including Alison and Eddie Schmidt and Tony and Leah Neifert; special cousins Hayden and Bonnie Schmidt and Libby and Ella Neifert; and many other relatives, friends, teachers, and caregivers (Diana and Beatris).
Willie graduated from Grandville High School and had been a student at Pine Grove Learning Center. He was a member of Grandville United Methodist Church. He loved the MSU Spartans, the Detroit Tigers, fishing, shopping, and animals, especially horses. Willie was an inspiration to all who knew and loved him.
There will be a private graveside service for his immediate family. Because of COVID precautions, friends and relatives are invited to celebrate his life by participating in a drive-by visitation past his home at 3920 41st St., Grandville, MI from 2 - 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 22. His family will be there to greet you with a wave from the driveway.
