He was born in Sparta, Michigan on January 2, 1949. He graduated high school, married his late wife, Patricia Morgan, in 1981 and they later moved to Grandville. He worked as a pipefitter, a construction worker, and a bus driver and eventually stayed home to raise his daughter. William had a passion for fixing things, cars, hunting, and country music.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Morgan; and parents William and Rita Morgan Sr.
He will be remembered by his daughter, Julie (Ryan) Scott; two grandchildren; three sisters Karin (Joseph) Bowden, Sheri Taylor, and Marianne (Alan) Myers; several nieces and nephews; a dear friend, Jan Schiller; and many others.
Due to the current restrictions, a private family committal ceremony and interment will be held at Jamestown Cemetery on Saturday, June 6, 2020.
In honor of William and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.
