Ryan David Whitney

Ryan David Whitney, age 41, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 11, 2021 and is now safe in the arms of Jesus. He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Don Whitney, and his “Grans," Mick Alberda. Also preceding him was his dear friend, Chau Nguyen. Ryan will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his parents Dave and Donna Whitney; brothers Randy (Becky) Whitney and Nate (Tiffany) Whitney; niece, Maggie Whitney; nephews Sebastian and Schuyler Whitney; grandparents Don Alberda and Ellie Whitney; uncles and aunts Di (Jer) VanderLugt, Rick (Janice) Alberda, Ross (Robin) Alberda, Shane Alberda, Larry Whitney, Ken Whitney, Mark Whitney, Ruth (Phil) Weaver; special friends Jeremy Fredenburg and Wanda Kooienga; and many special cousins who loved him dearly.

Ryan was known for his gentle spirit and loving, giving heart. He was an encourager by nature and faithfully prayed for those he loved.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, Michigan. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Harbor Life Church, 3085 Wallace Ave. SW, Grandville, MI 49418, with visitation from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to service.
