Rosella Joan Peterson

Rose J. Peterson, age 84, went to be with her Lord Monday, May 16, 2022. Rose was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Donald Peterson, and her parents Louis and Grace Acquisto. She will be remembered by her children Michelle (Ron) Dalessandro, Steven (Sandra) Peterson, and Scott (Jodi) Peterson; seven grandchildren Alexa, Nick, Halle, Mitchell, Michael, MacKenzee, Montana; sister, Marilyn Urzetta; and brother Micky Acquisto; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Rose was born in Jamestown, NY and raised in Lakewood, NY. Rose often talked about her days as a lifeguard on Lake Chautauqua as a teen and she loved the water and being outside. Rose earned her degree from Lake Erie College and met Don while working for P&G in Minneapolis, MN. Rose had a great love of her family, her friends, and social life - playing bridge and golf in her earlier years, and an occasional trip to the local casinos. Attending her grandchildren’s events was also a great source of pride and enjoyment in her life. Rose had a long and fulfilling career serving Jenison Public Schools as an administrative assistant.

A celebration of Rose’s life will be hosted by her family from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Sunnybrook Country Club in The Rush Creek Ballroom at 624 Port Sheldon St. SW, Grandville MI.
