Gary Dean Bigler, age 78, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. Gary was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Beatrice Bigler; and two angel babies. He will be remembered by his wife of 58 years, Janet (Seeley) Bigler; children Tari (Frank) Kruzel, Ronda (Jeff) Lubbers, Karen Bigler, and Todd (Tonya) Bigler; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several brothers- and sisters-in-law; many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Gary served in the military and was stationed in Germany. While there, he married Janet. Gary was blessed with long careers at Steelcase (33 and a half years) and M & K Truck Center (19 years). Upon retirement, he enjoyed small engine repair and tinkering around outside. He was proud of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation with friends and relatives will take place from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, February 5, 2023 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. A Celebration of Gary’s Life will commence 11 a.m. Monday, February 6, 2023 with visitation one hour prior at Cook Memorial Chapel (East building). Pastor Scott Klooster will be officiating. In lieu of flowers and in memory of Gary, memorial contributions may be made to the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans. Interment will be at Floral View Memorial Gardens.
