Don was born and raised in Reed City, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents Jacob and Sarah Wirth and his 11 siblings.
He will be remembered by his wife of 65 years, Darlene Wirth; children Debra Perrin (Dave Smith), Guy (Danae) Wirth, Dean (Denise) Wirth and Dale (Sunny) Wirth; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Don proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1946-1948. He was a man of very few words but his actions spoke volumes to many people. Don will lovingly be remembered for his generosity, kind heart and big smile.
The celebration of Don’s life has already taken place as a private family ceremony. Interment was at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
