Dawn Annette Moss, age 75, passed away June 21, 2022. She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Frank; two children Jason (Karen) Watson of Hastings, Dan (Erin) Watson of Fennville; two stepchildren Timothy (Sarah) Moss of Fruitport, Michael (Sara) Moss of Grandville; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild with two more on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents Merritt and Lorna Bush of Otsego; first husband, Thomas Watson of Hastings; brother, Merritt Bush Jr. of Otsego; and grandson, Tylor Watson of Hastings.
Dawn was born October 9, 1946, in Allegan Michigan, and grew up in Otsego, Michigan. While growing up, Dawn was an active member of the Otsego Congregational Church and a proud member of the Otsego Bulldogs marching band. A few years after graduating Otsego High School, Dawn was married to Thomas Watson. While raising two young boys in Hastings, Dawn was active in the First United Methodist Church and in being a room mom/teacher’s helper at Central Elementary. Once the boys were a bit older, Dawn dove back into working in clerical roles with the American Cancer Society and the Barry/Eaton County Health Department. Dawn was an avid reader of mystery books, an excellent seamstress, and she enjoyed shopping, and spoiling her grandchildren with trips to Chuck E. Cheese and Build-A-Bear. She would often use her seamstress skills to make additional outfits for the bears that were built at Build-A-Bear.
