Born on September 10, 1932, in Kent County, Clairwin was a cherished father, mentor, and athlete. His legacy as a devoted family man, and a guiding force in industrial arts, is honored by all who knew him. His love for senior softball led him to travel across the United States, sharing his enthusiasm and talent for the game.
Left to honor Clairwin's memory are his loving children Susan (Dan) VanTuinen, Scott (Terry) Miller, Sheryl (Jeff) Steffens, and Steve (Cherie) Miller; his adored grandchildren Melissa, Dan Jr., Donielle, Camron, Katie, Ryan, Tyler, Alexis, and Matt; as well as his treasured great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He also leaves behind three brothers and a sister. He joins in peace his beloved wife, Linda; parents Katherine and Clairwin; and his siblings who preceded him in death.
Family and friends are invited to gather and commemorate Clairwin's life during a visitation to be held on Saturday, May 11, from 3-5 p.m. at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. As a reflection of Clairwin's vibrant spirit and easygoing demeanor, the family kindly requests guests to dress casually for the occasion.
His gentle nature and enduring love for his family will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who were fortunate enough to know him.
