Carol Seeley

Carol Seeley, age 93, passed away peacefully, while surrounded by her family, January 7, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents W.S. and Mary Blackshear; husband, Calvin Dale Seeley; daughters Marsha K. Seeley, Terry A. Dykstra; and granddaughter, Christina Sayre. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Mary Sayre; granddaughter, Karlee Sayre; twin brother, Harold Blackshear; sister-in-law, Marilyn Blackshear; family Ron Mohr and Mike Dykstra; and numerous extended family and friends.

Carol enjoyed many things. One of the most important aspects of her life was her family whom she cherished deeply. She and Calvin were known to always be “on the go.” They rode Harleys, then snowmobiles, and eventually traveled around in their motorhome. They loved spending time together camping up north and touring the United States. Carol loved living life. There are fond memories of she and Calvin driving to Traverse City for a slice of cherry pie. She will be deeply missed.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held 4 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418, with visitation from 2-4 p.m. prior to the service.
