Arthur Thomas Coffman, age 86, went home to his Lord and Savior Saturday, October 23, 2021. He married Trena Joyce Schutte November 22, 1963, and together they raised seven sons. Over the course of his life, he worked for DuPont, Sherwin Williams, and Hoechst - Roussel Pharmaceuticals.
The love of his life was his wife, Joyce. The pride of his life was his seven sons Rev. A. Joseph Coffman and Sandie, Mark and Karla Coffman, Thomas Coffman, Dr. Jonathan Coffman, Nathan Coffman, Timothy and Tanya Coffman, and Aaron and Megan Coffman. His wife, Joyce and son, Nathan preceded him in death.
He leaves behind his six surviving children and his grandchildren Eli Coffman, Zach Coffman, John Paul Coffman, Melanie Lieske, Alicia Smith, Joshua Coffman, Mikayla Beckmann, Aaron Coffman, Sydney Coffman, Matthew Coffman, Heather Coffman, Alaric Coffman, Caeden Coffman, Aevery Coffman, Anaeya Coffman, and Lillian Coffman. He also leaves behind 13 great-grandchildren, all of whom he loved dearly.
He also leaves behind his beloved brother, Don and Claudia Coffman. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Bill and Harry Coffman; and sister, Lois Wiltjer. He also leaves his brother-in-law, Jim Schutte; sisters-in-law Julia Austin and Donna DeVries.
Art was a dedicated disciple of Jesus Christ; his life was a living example of what it means to be a child of God. His greatest wish was that all of his family would love and serve the Lord. He was humble, loving, and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was a man of quiet dignity and honorable in all that he did.
