Gertrude Elizabeth McGuire, age 92, born on September 3, 1931, passed away on February 6, 2023 at St. Joseph Hospital following a brief illness. After graduation from Plattsburg High School and marriage, Gertrude became the Administrator for Amco Electric, the company that she and her husband Aros founded and owned in Kansas City for over 50 years.
Gertrude was predeceased by her parents Frank and Gertrude Anseaume; husband, Aros Eugene McGuire; son Stephen Craig McGuire; granddaughter Stephanie Nicole McGuire; sister Sue Anseaume Murphy; and seven brothers Louis, Walter, Robert, Raymond, Ralph, Leonard and Howard Anseaume. Gertrude was the youngest of nine children. She is survived by her daughter Deborah Sue Youngblood; granddaughter Christie Schlenger (Mark) and great grandson Milo Schlenger, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Coronation of Our Lady Catholic Church, 13000 Bennington Avenue, Grandview, Missouri. The Rosary begins at 9:45 am followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00 am. Inurnment immediately follows the service at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge Boulevard, Kansas City, Missouri. A reception and dinner will be held following the inurnment ceremony at Coronation of Our Lady Catholic Church to which all are invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Gertrude’s memory be made to Wayside Waifs, or Coronation of Our Lady Catholic Church.
