Craig Stuart McPhail

Craig Stuart McPhail, age 71, of Merriam, Kansas passed away unexpectedly, on Tuesday, December 26, 2023. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio August 16, 1952 the son of Dr. Donald McPhail and Patricia McPhail. He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Sissy Rollar, brothers-in-law Bob Rollar and Ray Kroll. He leaves behind his brother Allan McPhail, Seagoville, TX; his sisters Wendy Kroll, Boca Raton, FL; K-K Lally, Overland Park, KS; and brother in-law Mike. He also leave 1 nephew and 4 nieces; 2 grandnieces; his uncle Dr. Frank Mills and Aunt Pat Mills of Cincinnati, OH.

Craig was raised in Mariemont, Ohio. He lived many places over the years; Arizona, California, Oregon, Mexico and Florida. For the past 30 years he lived by his sister K-K and brother-in-law Mike and their daughter Devin.

Craig was a kind and gentle man and a gentleman! He was quiet and somewhat shy yet people were easily drawn to him because of his gentle nature and subtle humor. He loved nature and always enjoyed very long walks. He loved animals and literature. He was very well read and could discuss any topic. Mostly he loved music. He played his guitar since he was a young boy. How can we not think of Craig when we hear a Beatles song?!

Craig made many lifelong friends growing up in Ohio. Bill, John, Scotty, Bob, Sam, Harlan, Robbie, Greg and Mark to name a few. They have been true friends and our family will never forget them and our fond memories.

Although the road was often difficult for Craig, he persevered. He bravely fought the good fight; finished the race and kept the faith. "2 Timothy 4:6-8
