Bob is preceded in death by his father Arthur Benson, who passed away in 1956 and his mother Mabel Benson who passed away in 1971.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marguerite Benson and their children, Renee Nelson, Colette (Kevin) Judy, and Danielle (Victor) Benson-Fennell. Grandchildren, Taylor Nelson, Myles Nelson, Devin Nelson, Blaire Judy, Jasper Fennell, and Grayson Fennell.
Bob met Marguerite in April of 1955 and they married in October later that same year. They would be blessed with 65 years of marriage.
He graduated Michigan State University in 1951 and following he joined the United States Air Force where he proudly served as a Lieutenant and then later a Captain in the Reserves. Upon completing his service to the Air Force he then worked for the Michigan Veterans Facility until he retired at age 57.
Bob loved his family. He will be missed dearly, by many.
