Mary Kay Bok, aged 71 of Grand Rapids went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 9, 2016. She was born in the spring of 1945 to George and Eleanor [Baar] Sullivan. Along with her parents, Mary Kay is preceded in death by her father-in-law Leonard Bok, many aunts and uncles, especially her Aunt Mickey Fleming, brother-in-law Jim Andree and niece Christine Lacic. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 48 years, Raymond, as well as their children Michelle (Manny) Ludwig and Mark Bok, granddaughters Jennifer and Paige Ludwig. Also surviving are her siblings Patricia Sullivan, Eileen (Art) Lacic, George (Mary) Sullivan, Marguerite (Dave Fegel) Sullivan, Theresa (Dave) VanDyke, mother-in-law Janet Bok, sister-in-law Joanne (Lou) Schaeding, and many nieces and nephews. Mary Kay was a 1963 graduate of Catholic Central High School. She and Ray were long time members at St. Alphonsus Parish in Grand Rapids. She loved to spend time with her family, especially up at the summer cottage. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Friday, July 15, 2016 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church (224 Carrier St NE, Grand Rapids MI, 49505) with Rev. Patrick Grile, C.Ss.R. officiating. You may greet Mary Kay's family on Thursday, July 14, 2016 from 5-8 PM at Reyers North Valley Chapel. An additional hour of visitation will be held prior to the Mass beginning at 10am at church. Mary Kay will be laid to rest in Plainfield Township Cemetery. Memorials can be made in her honor to either St. Alphonsus Catholic Church or the Friends of Michigan Veterans Homes, Inc.
