Josee spent her childhood and early adult life in Germany. She moved to the United States when she was 24 and became a citizen in 1975. After settling in Michigan she lived most of her life in Comstock Park. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper in the medical field. In her free time, Josee loved going to the beach and she was very involved with Paws with a Cause. She had several hearing service dogs in the last 30 years of her life. Josee was a very involved grandma and she adored her family. Her loving nature will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Josee was preceded in death by: husband, William Slack; parents, Adolf and Maria Heiderscheid; sister, Yvonne (Noel) Jackson; and special friend, Bill Wiersum.
Josee is survived by: son, Michael (Tracey) Slack; grandchildren, Carly, Kelsey, and William Slack; niece, Nancy Bachman; nephews, Roger Jackson, and Gary (Gena) Slack; and special service dog, Luna.
In accordance with Josee's wishes, cremation will take place and no public services are scheduled at this time.
