Kathy spent most of her life in the Grand Rapids and Wyoming area-living in the same house for over 30 years. Until recently, when she gave up the city life for a peaceful life in the country, and moved to Hesperia with her husband. She was a graduate of Catholic Central High School and went to earn an Associates degree in Radiology from a local community college. Kathy married her love, Randy Trudell, and the couple spent almost 43 years together. In her free time, she enjoyed listening to music and singing to her heart's content. She also loved animals and traveling. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family. Kathy was a modest, simple, and feisty woman who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Kathy was preceded in death by: parents, Carl and Patricia Fricke; and brother, Brian Fricke.
Kathy is survived by: husband, Randy Trudell; daughters, Nicole (Mike) Brown, Christy (Alex) Trudell-Hornecker, and Shannon Trudell; step-children, Valerie (Chris) Obenchain and Genie (Aaron) Karns; grandchildren, Tyler and Zack, Brian and Xander, and Lauren; step-grandchildren, Kayla, Evan, and Christopher; great-grandchild, Jade; special friend, Kathy Babins; as well as, many other close friends and other extended family.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024 at 3:00 pm until 4:30 pm at Reyers North Valley Chapel. A Rosary service will be prayed at 4:30 pm. A Memorial Service will start immediately following the Rosary, also at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Paws with a Cause or the Humane Society of West Michigan.
