On November 16, 1957, Jerrie was united in marriage to Joseph Yurush. The couple raised three children and spent 41 years together before Joe passed away in on April 12, 1999.
A natural caregiver, Jerrie spent her career working as a nurse at Kent Community Hospital until her retirement in 2005.
Jerrie is survived by her children: Joseph, Michael and Patricia Yurush; her grandchildren Jonathan and Jessica Yurush, Megan (Joseph) Lahiff, Alex (Jennifer) Yurush, Heather (Matt) Bowen and Brent Smith; her great-grandchildren: Kai, Rylee, Mason, McKenzi; her step-great grandchildren Bryce, and her sister Suzanne (Larry) Brown as well as many other relatives. Besides her husband, Jerrie was preceded in death by her brothers Leon and Bill St. Pierre and her sisters Beatrice Radimak and Dorothy Sinkler.
Visitation for Jerrie will be held on Friday April 26, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Reyers North Valley Chapel. Private burial next to her beloved, Joe, will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jerrie’s name may be made to Crash’s Landing.
