Jeanette was a 1959 graduate of St. James Catholic School. She went on to own and operate a dry cleaners, H&M Cleaners, for over 50 years. Jeanette was a devout catholic and throughout her life was a parishioner of St. Alphonsus in Grand Rapids, St. Mary Magdalen in Kentwood, and Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Belmont. Jeanette loved watching NASCAR, traveling, dancing, playing cards, going to garage sales, cooking, and most of all spending time with her family. She was a loving and caring woman who would do anything she could to help others. Jeanette made friends easily and when she spoke to you it was as if she had known you forever. She had a love of life and all the beauty that came with it. She was a hard worker with a feisty attitude and a warm heart. Jeanette will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Jeanette was preceded in death by: husband of 38 years, Ward Brandel; daughter, Kandra Zube; son, Kenneth Zube; grandson, Jeremy; and sisters, Mary (Bob) Russell, and Lori Nowakowski.
Jeanette is survived by: children, Kimberly Zube, Kevin (Jennifer) Zube, and Ward (Rebecca Robinson) Brandel; grandchildren, Nicole, Nathaniel, Izaac (Ashley), Christian (Danielle), Kevin Jr., Amara (Amarion), Donovan, Nicole, Ashley, Shawn, and Kaitlynn; several great grandchildren; siblings, Bob Robinson, and Sharon (Jim) McGrail; brother in law, John Nowakowski; special niece, Kimara (Craig) Pickens; many other nieces and nephews; and special puppy dogs, Jazz and Copper.
In accordance with Jeanette’s wishes, cremation will take place and a Funeral Mass will be held at Assumption Catholic Church of Belmont at a later date. Service details will be made public when they are available.
