Jack Clayton Orcutt

Survived by daughters Linda Orcutt , Christine Orcutt and son David Orcutt. Also survived by grand children and great grand children, sister Violet (Robert) Lee and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife Delores Orcutt and son Gary Orcutt.

Jack proudly served his country in the 11th Army Calvary. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed backpacking and canoeing. He loved horses and had an assortment of animals. He started a yearly trailride across the state of Michigan with friends. He liked to bake and can applesauce for the grand kids. Jack actively kept in touch with his Army buddies and got to attend their 59th reunion. He also volunteered at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans for many years. Jack did so many things in his lifetime that it is hard to mention all of his highlights. He will be deeply missed. Memorial Visitation for Jack will be Thursday, October 31, 2019 from 10 a.m. until the time of the Funeral at 11 a.m. at St. James Lutheran Church, 2040 Oakwood Ave NE, Grand Rapids, Michigan 49505. Military Honors will be accorded to Jack at Fairplains Cemetery by the Kent County Honor Guard and the U.S. Army. Donations may be made to the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans or Spectrum Hospice.
