Jack Holman

Jack Holman Sr, age 74, passed away peacefully while sitting in the sunshine at the home he loved on April 14, 2017. He was born in Grand Haven, MI in the spring of 1943 to Bill and Gerry Holman who precede him in death. Also preceding in death are Jack’s brother Bill and sister-in-law Karen Holman. Jack will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife of 35 years, Kathryn [Batson] as well as by his children Tami (Mike) White, Jack Jr. (Cheri) Holman, and Jodi (Angel) Martinez; step children Barry (Denise) Baatz and Brian (Katie) Baatz as well 10 treasured grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his 5 brothers and 2 sisters and many other loved family and friends. Jack proudly served his country in the National Guard. He was a dedicated member of the Iron Workers Local Union # 340, retiring after 32 years of service. Jack enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, wintering in Florida and earlier in his life, raising and training draft horses. But most importantly he will be remembered as a devoted husband, father and grandfather. A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Lew VanderMeer, has been scheduled to take place at 11:00 AM, Thursday April 20, 2017 at Reyers North Valley Chapel. Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at the funeral home. A second visitation has been scheduled beginning 10:00 AM on Thursday until the time of service. Per Jack’s wishes cremation will follow the funeral services.
