Ronald Winfred Kelton, 73, of Grand Prairie, Texas passed away on June 13, 2024. He was born in Dallas, Texas February 28, 1951 to Riley J. and Neosha Kelton. Ron grew up in Oak Cliff, Texas and attended Dallas public schools. November 22, 1974 Ron married Kathy Price and they were married for 45 years. He was the owner of S&R Truck Repair for 40 years, where he served the trucking industry as a diesel mechanic.
Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, friends and family, and being Pop to his grandchildren.
Ron is survived by his three children: son, Shannon Kelton, and wife Misty, of Ennis, Texas, daughter, Anna Kelton of Fort Worth, Texas, and son, John Riley Kelton II of Arlington Texas, five grandchildren Scottie Kelton, Jordan Kelton and wife, Erin, Katy (Riley) Williams, Charlye Kelton and Ellyotte Kelton, one great granddaughter Hattie Jo Kelton. Three brothers: Carl Douglas (CD) Kelton , Riley Kelton and Matt Kelton, as well as, a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Kelton, his parents, Riley J. and Neosha Kelton, two sisters, Belinda Kelton and Phyllis McCoy.
Funeral Services are under the direction of Grand Prairie Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 20, 2024 from 6 - 8 PM. Services will be held Friday, June 21, 2024 at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at Moore Memorial Gardens in Arlington. Serving as Pallbearers are Zander Henley, Braydon Hill, Tristan Hill, Allen Price and Patrick Pinson and Carl Henley.
