Randy McLaughlin, age 68, passed away Sunday April 17th, 2016 peacefully at home in Grand Prairie, Texas. He was born in Durand, Michigan on August 27, 1947 to Dale and Margaret McLaughlin. He was a proud member of Eagle Scout and Lodge Chief of Llano Estacado Council, and he graduated Palo Duro High School in 1965. He was a graduate of Texas Tech University and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry in 1970 where he was a member of the Alpha Phi Omega Fraternity. Randy began his career as a wine merchant for Max Goldman of Dallas. Randy gained notoriety very quickly with his deep understanding and love of wine, and great nose for special vintages. Randy also worked for Kendall Jackson Winery and spent the last 27 years at Sigel's Wines as the Director of Fine Wines. Here, he was instrumental in bringing a variety of fine wines throughout the Dallas / Fort Worth restaurant arena. Randy married the love of his life, Jean McLaughlin December 29th, 1969 in Lubbock Texas. They spent many happy years raising their children, Kenny Wayne, Nita, Judy and Tony Dale in Grand Prairie, Texas. One of Randy and Jean’s passions was traveling throughout the United States and Canada. Most recently they took a road trip to Arizona where they were able to enjoy the Petrified Forest, Painted Desert, Grand Canyon, and Monument Valley, returning home through central New Mexico. Randy is preceded in death by his father Dale McLaughlin and sons Kenny Wayne and Tony Dale. He is survived by his wife Jean McLaughlin; Mother, Dolly McLaughlin; brother and sister in-law Pete and Rhonda McLaughlin and nephew Russell; Daughters and son in-laws Nita and Dan Taylor, Judy and Ricky Watson Senior; and grandchildren Stephen Warren and wife Michele Warren; Jennifer Padilla and husband Armando Padilla; Andrew Warren; and Ricky Watson Junior.The world lost the most gracious, loving man and he will be missed deeply by all that knew him. The viewing and service will be held at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home at 2951 South Beltline Road, Grand Prairie Texas, 75052, Friday April 22nd, 2016. Viewing from 1:30pm to 3:30pm to pay your last respects as well as enjoy Randy’s favorite wines. Funeral will proceed right after the viewing at 3:30 at the Funeral Home.
