Nancy Ann Townsend

Nancy Ann Townsend, age 76, died unexpectedly on Thursday, March 23, 2017, at her home in Grand Prairie, Texas. From her birth in Ohio on December 12,1940 to her death on Thursday, she nourished people around her with unconditional love.

After graduating from high school, Nancy married Bobbie Ford in July 1959 and had their first child in 1960. By 1968, she was the proud mother of four children. She enjoyed her life as a mom and some of her favorite times revolved around various Boy Scout and Girl Scout events.

With her kids all grown, Nancy became single and met another wonderful man, Perry Townsend. They married on December 18, 2000. Over time, she was blessed with grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Now known as Nana, she enjoyed watching them play and more importantly, spoiling them. If not reading a romance novel, Nana could always be found crocheting, knitting and crafting, as one of our three Galavanting Grannies.

Left to honor Nancy, aka, Nana, and remember her love are her husband, Perry Townsend and her children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter. Charles with wife Virginnia and their two children, Emily and Robby. Her son, Bill with wife Aundrea and their two children, Sharon and Scott with his daughter, Makennzie. Her son Douglas. Her daughter, Sharon and her two children, Mikayla and Trey.
