Linda Louise Leath Morris, age 76, from Grand Prairie, Texas passed from this earth to be with her Heavenly Father on June 1, 2024. Linda was born July 7, 1947 in Decatur, Texas to James (Jim) and Margaret Leath. She graduated from Burns Flat High School in Burns Flat, Oklahoma in 1965. She then attended Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, TX. and graduated from Mary Meek School of Nursing in 1969.
Linda married Danny Morris in Abilene in June of 1969. They lived in Tampa, Florida until 1973 when they moved to Grand Prairie, TX. Linda was a School Nurse for Grand Prairie ISD for 24 years, after retirement she became a flight attendant for American Airlines. She loved volunteering, crafting, sewing, and traveling. Most of all she dearly loved her family and spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. Linda was an inspiration to so many people. She was a faithful servant, so willing to serve others with her beautiful smile and sweet spirit.
She will be remembered by her husband, Danny Morris, children, Derek Morris, Melinda Cox and husband Kerry Cox, her grandchildren, Alyssa Gigante-Morris, Brady, Kate and Reese Chryssikos and Kasen, Landen, Cameron and Emerson Cox, her father James (Jim) Leath, her brother Gary Leath and wife Delia, sister-in-law Vicki Thomas and husband J.D., nephews Jay Thomas and Caleb Leath, niece Hannah Leath Rana and many extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother Margaret Lowry Leath.

A visitation for Linda will be held Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church Grand Prairie, 950 Mayfield Road, Grand Prairie, TX 75052. Funeral service will take place at 10:00 AM, with a Committal Service following at 1:00 PM at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211.
