Leslie Walter Tucker II of Alvarado, TX, passed away peacefully on January 2nd in Arlington, TX. He will always be remembered as a loving father and friend to all that knew and loved him. He was born on April 23, 1946, in Robertsburg, West Virginia to Leslie Walter Tucker and Mona Gertrude (Stover) Tucker.
Petty Officer Second Class Leslie Tucker proudly served his country in the United States Navy. While in the military he served as an Aviation Structural Mechanic. He served during the Vietnam war and received the National Defense Service Medal for his service. He retired from Lockheed Martin with 28 years of service. His hobbies were playing the guitar, fishing, reading, building and he had a huge passion for farming.
He loved spending time with his loved ones by making a warm fire outside and having nice conversations while enjoying each other’s company. Most importantly, he had an enormous amount of room in his heart and shared his love with everyone that met him. He did not care if you had a past or if you had flaws; he understood everyone and loved everyone just the way they were. He was wise and shared his wisdom with those that needed guidance. His arms were always wide open to anyone that needed a hug. Leslie was the true definition of love.
Leslie is survived by his sons, Jessie Tucker of Alvarado, TX; Joshua Tucker of Euless, TX; daughters, Carrie Tucker of Alvarado, TX; Jessika Munoz of Arlington, TX; and granddaughters, Erika Najera of Arlington, TX; Dayline Tucker of Boonville, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 13th, 2022 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, TX.
