James William Pannell passed peacefully on Thursday, November 2, 2023. Born in Horatio, Arkansas on January 20, 1935, he was a man of many titles. Those closest to him knew him as a loving husband to his wife of 63 years, Bernice, father to daughters Lori Martin, Lisa Flores, and Leslie Maxey, and Papaw, Great Papaw, uncle, and friend to all who knew him. While he will be eternally missed, we move forward comforted by being loved and led by his presence and influence.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Bernice, his three adoring daughters, his grandchildren, Stephanie Martin and husband Tyler, Jennifer Ritchey and husband Jordan, Zachary Flores, and Delaney Flores, and great-grandchildren Evan, Leileana, Emersyn, and Landon Ritchey along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends with whom he shared his love of life.
He was preceded in death by parents Robert and Mary Pannell, his brothers, Ellis and Thomas, and sister, Martha.
