Eric Mitchell

Eric moved from Indiana to Minnesota and in the early 80’s settled in Grand Prairie. He graduated from South Grand Prairie High School. After graduation he worked for Evans Food Mart and eventually started his own company doing remodeling and restorations. He was a comical person who would give you the shirt off his back. Eric enjoyed water sports and animals, taking in any stray.

Eric collected many different things and was always very good at taking care of his possessions. He helped rebuild Immanuel Presbyterian Church and has been a member for the past 10 years. Eric was a wonderful son, brother and friend who had a heart of gold. He adopted and sponsored several children in Africa. "They say a person's world is only as big as their heart, then Eric had the whole world."

He is survived by his parents Steven and Diana Kay Hauck; father Benny Allen Mitchell; brothers Ben Mitchell, Tobias Mitchell and his wife Angelia, Ashley Hauck and wife Courtney; sister Melani Hauck Madsen and husband Shane; nephews and nieces Austin, Savannah, Riley, Alexis, Emily, Brody, Cooper, London and Avery; significant other Tammy Hathaway.
