Doris Jeane White

Doris was born in Coalgate, Oklahoma to John and Mary Bunch on November 12, 1926.

Doris married William Dean White, her high school sweetheart. Together they raised a wonderful family which includes daughters Linda Diane King and Mary Lynn Pierce (Mrs. Harry) as well as two sons David Wayne White and Kenneth Jeffrey White. The family now includes 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren with the 9th expected in February. Doris had many names in the family. She was Mother, Mom, Grandma, Meme, Gran, and GG. She has a special place in all our hearts.

Doris worked at Vought Aeronautics for 36 years. She loved her job and retired only because her husband had a heart attack.

Doris’s focus throughout her life was her family. She is survived by her children Diane King, Mary Lynn Pierce (Mrs. Harry), Jeff White, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Dean White, her son David White, her daughter-in-law Katherine White (Mrs. Jeff), her brother Kenneth Bunch, her sister Pat Fischer (Mrs. Herman), and her parents. She will be missed.

A committal service for Doris will be held Thursday, November 9, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211.

In lieu of flowers a donation to Wounded Warriors, her favorite charity.
