Daniel Reyes Savala

Daniel Reyes Savala, age 79 passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2023 in Houston, Texas, surrounded by his loved ones. Daniel was born December 30, 1943 in Italy, Texas to Alejandro Savala and Gregoria Reyes.

Daniel loved being around his family. From a very early age, Daniel became very involved in the well being of every family member. His compassion and calm demeanor made him the perfect person to approach with any questions or concerns. He was an unconditional provider for his family, including his mother and siblings. He was a man of peace and love and in his own words: "It's all going to be alright."

Daniel loved playing his guitar but most of all enjoyed playing music for his family and children.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Celia Savala; his children, Graciela Campos Barrera & husband, Joe Barrera; Ulises Savala & partner, Erica Rivera; Aquiles Savala & wife Angela, Lourdes Martinez & husband, Jorge; Cresencia Barrera & husband, Joe the III; grandchildren, Moses Castillo, Cristobal de Jesus Castillo, Bruce Castillo, Aquiles Savala Jr., Cianna Angelica Savala, Gabriel Elijah Garcia, Annelise Mia Tunales, Danielle Savala, Cody Andrew Garcia, Alexandra Perez, Jose Maria Barrera IV; great grandchildren, Jeremia Ramirez, Moses Castillo, Bella Graciela Castillo, Emma Brielle Castillo, Bruce Elias Castillo, Leonardo Fernando Castillo, Edward A Naranjo-Savala, Jacob A Naranjo-Savala and Caroline Gabrielle Gonzalez.

A visitation for Daniel will be held Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Grand Prairie Funeral Home, 733 Dalworth Street, Grand Prairie, TX 75050 with a Rosary being recited at 6:30 pm. A funeral service will take place on Friday, April 14, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Grand Prairie Funeral Home.
