Brynda May Clay passed away Tuesday May 22, 2018 at Medical City Arlington after suffering from multiple strokes. She was born on May 12, 1946 in Sherman, Texas to Roy and Vee Neathery and lived in Grand Prairie until the time of her death.
She had many talents and worked a few different jobs, including that of a cosmetologist, but she spent most of her working years with TXU Electric in Dallas. There she worked in many capacities but most will remember her years in the Customer Service Department which required her attendance during the worst weather issue in DFW.
Brynda was a member of Crossroads Christian Church in Grand Prairie for many years. She enjoyed volunteering in the Helping Hands ministry where she helped with sorting and packing food donations. She would also assist in preparing and delivering meals to families who have recently lost loved ones or going through various medical issues. She enjoyed working in her yard and had quite the green thumb. She also loved spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.
Survivors include her daughter, Christina Lorraine Newton & husband Allen. Grandchildren: Ashley Elliott, Gary Elliott Jr his wife Terrisa, and Cody Newton. Great-Grandchildren: Jamie, Gunner, Harley, and Hunter all of Grand Prairie, TX; brother: Jack & wife Ethel Neathery of Klondike; sisters: June & husband Ken Washburn of Pottsboro; Jane & husband John Bearden of Ravenna; Lydna & husband Jim Knorpp of Ft. Worth; sister-in-law Lois Neathery of Granbury; brother-in-law Joe Robinson of Denison.
