Bill C. Davis, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2024 at the age of 90. He was surrounded by family in his home in Grand Prairie, Texas. Bill will be remembered as a happy, hardworking, humble gentle man.
He was born on April 21,1934 in Cash, Texas, to Clyde and Lerah Davis. He grew up in the Hunt County Texas area. After graduating from Greenville High in 1952, he served in the US Army for three years, stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. After an honorable discharge, he attended and graduated from East Texas State College with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
Bill met the love of his life Martha Hobgood while he was working a summer pipeline job. They married a year later in December 1959 in Buffalo Junction, Virginia. They settled and began their life together in Greenville, Texas where they welcomed their only child, Teresa.
Bill began a 37 year career with the Coca-Cola Company Food Service Division in 1961. He was a dedicated employee who began as a route salesman, was promoted to district manager and later to national sales manager of chain accounts. Bill loved his work and found great value in doing every aspect of his job with excellence. He was beloved by co-workers and customers. He was a builder of long lasting friendships and relationships.
Bill cherished his family, friends and neighbors. He is survived by his wife of nearly 65 years, Martha; his daughter, Teresa Davis-McKee, son-in-law Michael McKee, and grandsons, Michael Jeffrey McKee and Tyler Davis McKee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Buddy Davis.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home in Grand Prairie, Texas on October 16th at 2pm. An intimate Burial with Military Honors will be held at a later date at the Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
