Patricia Louise Preuss passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018 surrounded in love by her children. "Patty" was born March 23, 1935, the only child, to Edward and Mary Wright in Durango, Colorado. The family soon moved to Long Beach, California, where Pat spent her childhood and then married George R Preuss in 1954. (Later divorced, she never remarried.)
Her children, Shari (Gary Wilson), Dani (Dean Smith), and Bud Preuss (Debbie), all live in Grand Junction. After moving to Grand Junction in 1979, Pat worked 20 years for School District 51. Pat was a member of Monument Presbyterian Church where she played in the bell choir. She liked to play Mahjong, loved the Broncos, and was also a life-time member of Eastern Star. Pat was very proud of her grandchildren, Matthew Wilson, Amanda Wilson-Jimenez, Michelle Preuss-Eccles, and Brett Preuss, and was tickled pink with the arrival of three great-grandchildren in 2017.
Services will be held at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary, Friday, September 28 at 3:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to HopeWest, 3090B N. 12th Street, Grand Junction, CO 81506.
