Mildred was born on March 8, 1928, in Fullerton, California, to Jewel Robert and Cora Estelle (Howe) White. She spent her childhood in Palisade and Grand Junction and graduated from Grand Junction High School. On September 21, 1945, Mildred married Archie Arthur Williams in Grand Junction. Sadly, he preceded her in death in 2014. She worked as a rural mail carrier for the US Postal Service and was a member of the Palisade Church of the Nazarene.
Mildred is survived by her sons, Robert (Stacey) Williams of Palisade, and William (Elaine) Williams of Whitewater; daughter, Sue (Mike) Wood of Colorado Springs; 8 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband Archie, she was preceded in death by her parents, J.R. and Cora White; four sisters, Oleta Howe, Minnie Hutchinson, Jewel Dalley, and Ruby Brown; and her grandson, Chad Williams.
Her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren, whom she spent creating memories with and showing how them her love by cooking them pancakes with her infamous cowboy syrup. She will be greatly missed by all.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at 1 pm at Palisade Church of the Nazarene 3595 Front Street, Palisade, CO 81526.
