Was born October 23, 1943, the only son of Andrew and Carmen Romero in Gilman, Colorado. He passed away of natural causes in Grand Junction, Colorado. He was 80 years old.
He grew up in Midvale, Ut and kept in touch with a lot of his childhood friends. He maintained friendships that lasted his entire life.
He was an outdoor kinda guy. Loved fishing and camping. He was an avid sports fan he could recite the stats of all his favorite teams. His last adventure was going to see one of his his favorite teams play in Wisconsin. He kept files and stats of each years teams and their histories. He spent the last part of his life living in Paonia, Colorado. And was a big Colorado Rockies fan.
Being a loner he still maintained contact with extended family in the Delta, Montrose, Colorado area. As well as Superior, Az.
He lost his great friend “Scarecrow” who was his loyal buddy. Scarecrow passed a few years back but we are sure that he is waiting over the Rainbow Bridge for Michael and they are enjoying a great reunion
Michael is survived by his two sisters, Vivian Williams and Georginna Ramirez.
According to his family’s wishes there will be a private ceremony and the scattering of his ashes in a place that he loved.
May he rest in peace.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.callahan-edfast.com for the Romero family.
