Marge was born in Denver, Colorado on November 14, 1933, to Harvey and Florence (Wade) Hancock. She spent her childhood in Denver and attended East High School.
Marge married John H. Frick on July 17, 1954, and together they had four children, John, Jan, Margie, and Jill. She was a dedicated homemaker and wife, and loved spending time with her family. Marge also loved painting with oil paints and water colors, and was a member of the Brush and Pallet Club. Some of her other hobbies included fishing, taking trips to the ocean, shopping, being a hostess, and watching John in his garden. She had an amazing memory, never forgetting a name or birthday; and her smile would light up a room.
Marge is survived by her son, John Frick of Phoenix, Arizona; daughters, Jan Nelson of Commerce City, Margie Frick of Grand Junction, and Jill Schutt of Colorado; brother, Jory Hancock of Tucson, Arizona; sisters, Pat Heifner and Helen Maliszewski, both of Grand Junction, and Maxine Rowland; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Sadly, her husband John passed away in 2012.
A celebration of life will be held at Martin Mortuary on Friday, November 1st at 1:00 pm.
Memorial donations may be made in Marge’s name to HopeWest Hospice at www.hopewestco.org.
