Born on Friday, November 14, 1947 to the late Robert W. Baker and the late Rosemary (Sagrantz) Baker, Kathy was the first of two daughters. Soon after, Kathy, her mother, and sister moved to Norristown, Pennsylvania where she would live her early and young adult life. After high school, she and her sister would spend countless weekends dancing the night away in the area’s best dance spots. With music a deep part of her makeup, Kathy learned early on that she had a voice that could rival her beloved Linda Ronstadt and loved sharing it in various public venues.
As time would have it, she finally met the love of her life, Lloyd Daub of Valley Forge, of whom she went on to marry in May 1976 in Norristown, Pennsylvania. In late 1977, Kathy truly found her life’s purpose when she became a mother. The newlyweds had a baby girl. Over the next 6 years, Lloyd & Kathy gave life to three more children, all sons. As the family grew, they relocated to Trappe, Pennsylvania to raise their children.
In 1998, Kathy became a resident of Western Colorado where she spent the rest of her life with Lloyd, their youngest son, Grant, and a variety of cats that adored her. Despite moving 1700 miles to the west, she remained an avid fan of all things Philadelphia, but nothing rivaled her love of those Phillies…..or cheesesteaks…..or a good zep…. or Philly soft pretzels….
Kathy will always be remembered for her deep compassion for animals, a lifelong adoration of white daisies, a hilariously quick, spicy sense of humor laden with sarcasm, the ever-fierce love she had for her children and the forever love she held for her husband.
Kathy was preceded in death by her son, James Michael Daub and her momma, Rosemary.
She leaves behind her husband, Lloyd H. Daub III of Clifton, CO, daughter, Cristie L. Daub of Pottstown, son, Brandon L. Daub of Pottstown, PA, Grant H. Daub of Clifton, CO, grandson, Corbin L. Daub of Pottstown, PA, sister, Theresa (Leroy) Corcoran of Orlando, Florida, sister-in-law Sheryl (Webber) Arnold of Molina, CO , brother-in-law Ken (Pat) Daub of Grand Junction, CO, brother-in-law Jerry (Joanna) Daub of Grand Junction, CO and numerous nieces & nephews around the country.
The family will be holding Kathy’s Celebration of Life privately at a later date and ask, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Roice-Hurst Humane Society in Kathy’s memory.
