Janice was born on August 13, 1947 at the Army-Air Force Base in Anchorage, Alaska to Robert and Hope Linville. Her father was a pilot who passed away when she was an infant. Hope later moved to Texas and married Buford Wyatt who adopted and raised Janice.
She spent her childhood in Fort Worth, Texas and graduated from Eastern Hills High School. She attended Texas Tech in Lubbock where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Journalism, then received her Masters Degree in Secondary Education at UNC, Greeley. She began her career in Grand Junction as a middle school english teacher and later worked as a gifted and talented teacher. She also become an Adjunct Professor at Colorado Mesa University.
Previously married to Alan Boisvert, they had two daughters Jennifer and Cynthia. On June 9, 2001 she married Edward Kallio in Las Vegas, Nevada, he survives.
Janice was a Grand Junction resident for the past thirty-nine years and formerly lived in Grand County, Colorado. She was the current P.E.O. President. She enjoyed reading and writing poetry and was a published author. She was an avid quilter, savored traveling the world with Edward, reading and camping. Janice enjoyed spending time at her cabin on the Mesa, relaxing with a jigsaw puzzle or board game and watching nature.
Janice leaves behind her husband, Edward A. Kallio of Grand Junction, two daughters, Jennifer H. Boisvert of Anchorage, Alaska and Cynthia L. Boisvert of Taos, New Mexico, two brothers, Wyatt C. Lawson of Erie, Colorado, Keith B. Lawson of Grand Lake, Colorado and a sister, Kathy G. Warren of Lafayette, Louisiana.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Martin Mortuary. A committal service will take place at 3:00 PM, Friday, August 13, 2021 at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.
