I have missed you dearly. I know I was never good at keeping in touch, but not being able to for the past two years has been hard.
I have only fond memories of you. From eating breakfast with you and grandpa on the pull out cutting boards in the old kitchen to the waffle iron cakes you used to make.  I loved going to visit the two of you when I was a child. I still have the bible you sent me for my wedding as well as the bible you gave me as a child. I will cherish them always along with all of the letters you sent me.
I will miss your hugs and your positive attitude the most.  Every time I say ‘that’s so cool’ I think of you and your slight southern twang. 
You married into our family so we were never blood, but you were always my grandma and I will always remember you as such. I wish you could have met my children, but I know the last few years were a struggle. I hope you rest in piece. I will remember you always and think of you often.
My condolences to Tom and his family. I wish we had been able to say our goodbyes in person.

Doris, we've missed you so much. We know one day we will be reuinted with you and your loving husband Jim, our grandpa, along with Jesus. Whom you loved and trusted your whole life. We love you. You will always be a part of our family. Lovingly, your grandaughter Brandi and great grandaughters Sierra, Savannah, Kira and Kapri. and great, great grandaughter Lyli.
