My favorite Aunt. You can't say enough good about Charley. She loved everyone and accepted them at face value with no judgement. She was a rock for her children and stood by them no matter what.  She put up with this niece living with them and helped me with a strong shoulder many times.  Good Bye Aunt Charley I love you

Beautiful Charlotte 

My mother, Sharley, was a warm, compassionate and vibrant woman who always went out of her way to help others—no matter what. 

She was a proud and dignified woman who had a passion for life. 

She had a wonderful sense of humour which endeared her to everyone she came in contact with and it is a great testament to her nature that she formed so many long lasting friendships over the years.

Mom was brought up in a time when woman were more limited than today; yet, she thrived! She was an exceptional saleswoman and so gifted at communicating. She could turn a nickel into a dime with ease and was as successful at home as she was a realtor. In her prime, she was a force who earned the respect and adulation of her community and overcame the obstacles in her way with an effortless grace.

As an adult she became my best friend, advisor and confidante.  Her greatest quality was to encourage me to make the best of everything. She was always in my corner, no matter what. 

She was a proud woman who believed that there was no obstacle that couldn’t be overcome.

Mom had many friends all over the country and the world! She was such a beautiful lady and her world was full of color, laughter, and so many rich experiences! 

She would have an endless stream of friends always dropping in—folks in the neighbourhood would come over to ask Mom questions about their pets, their lives or to simply enjoy her cultured benevolence. 

Mom has always been my support, strength and comfort when times have been tough. She protected and loved her family so very much.

I don’t know how I will cope without her—it leaves a massive hole in my life.  

But I will draw strength from the things she taught me and the knowledge that she isnt alone where she is now. Neither will any of us be when it is our time. As Dad is now holding her again, we too will get to share the eternal mystery of life after death and be held by her again one day too.



Oh Aunt Sharley I will miss you!  What fun we had lunching, shopping and having our small adventures together.  You taught me so much about art.  So grateful.  You will always be my favorite Latta Aunt.  So special.  Always in my heart.
