Bonnie Jean Mease

Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ called Bonnie Jean Hamilton Mease home on December 1, 2023. She was born in Medicine Lodge, Kansas on November 27, 1942 to Fred and Mary Hamilton. She graduated from Nursing school at Mesa College. She was one of those very rare people that knew from a very early age that her calling in life was to be a nurse. Bonnie was a retired Intensive Care nurse for the Veterans administration. Family was very important to her, being a mother was her greatest joy. She will be dearly missed. Her four legged grandchildren will desperately miss their favorite treat dispenser and cuddle buddy. She is preceded in death by her daughter Janet Mease; parents Fred and Mary Hamilton; siblings, Editha Powell, Helen Curnutte, Freda Hartzell, John Hamilton, Mary Niccoli, E. A. (Van) Mitchell, Leslie Hamilton, Margaret Scott, and Donna Ash. She is survived by her children Anna Mease, Susan Mease and Frederick (Ceci) Mease; and many dearly loved nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, our Uncle Harold had set up a scholarship fund for nursing students, if you are interested, donations can be made to the Harold “Cowboy” Mease Scholarship Fund at South Plains College Foundation, 1401 S. College Avenue, Levelland, TX 79336.

A memorial service for Bonnie will be held Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary & Crematory, 2515 Patterson Rd., Grand Junction, Colorado 81505.
