Bessie Jo Rienks

Bessie Jo was a 1952 graduate of Rangely High School. She went to Mesa Jr. College where she met Beryl Rienks. They were married October 03, 1953 in Craig, CO. She lived in Hayden, CO until retirement after 27 years from Steamboat Medical Groups as a medical records administrator. She then moved to Grand Junction, CO to be closer to her kids. Bessie Jo was an avid bowler, loved camping and going to Wendover, NV. Her greatest joy was following her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids in their many activities and sporting events. She also loved watching the Broncos, Avalanche, and Nuggets.

She is survived by her son Rick (Cindy) Rienks of Colorado Springs, CO; Daughter Shayne (Tom) Young of Glade Park, CO; Daughter-in-law Kelly Rienks of Paonia, CO; Sisters Anita Shepard of Baggs, WY; and Barbara Harris of Orem, UT; 22 grandkids and 14 great grandkids.

She is preceded in death by her parents Joe and Bessie Schneider; Husband Beryl Rienks; Sons Kenneth and Scott Rienks; Brothers-in-law Tom Shepard and Ken Harris; Sister-in-law Corynne Rienks; Son-in-law-Ed Gunderson; Granddaughter Dana Gunderson; and Grandson Garrett Gunderson.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 2:30 PM at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary, in Grand Junction, CO.
